Up to this point the material presented has addressed transportation movement

requirements in a strategic, operational, and tactical sense. The presentation will
now focus on specific and detailed requirements associated with individual
shipments. The primary reference available to transportation officers throughout
all levels of command in all the services as well as to their civilian counterparts
within the DTS is DOD 4500.32-R, Military Standard Transportation and
Movement Procedures (MILSTAMP) with Change 6, dated 15 May 1995.
Prior to making a shipment, the shipper plans the movement in accordance with
