ocean cargo manifest recapitulation/ summary.

You will be given access to completed DD Forms 1386 (Ocean Cargo
Manifest Recapitulation or Summary)
STANDARDS:
Review of the ocean cargo manifest recapitulation/ summary will
be according to DOD Reg 4500.32-R, Volume I.

INTRODUCTION
In this lesson, you will learn how to check DD Form 1386, which
is a dual-purpose
form. When used as the ocean cargo manifest recapitulation, DD
Form 1386 reports
the total cargo loaded at a POE and the heavy-lift locations.
When used as the
ocean cargo manifest summary, DD Form 1386 becomes the source
document for the
MSC to render billings for ocean transportation.
To properly review the manifest recapitulation/summary, you must know the--
purpose of the recapitulation/summary.
