the vehicles and get multiple hits. However, this method has several
disadvantages; it is easier for the enemy pilot to spot the convoy as
it begins to disperse, the volume and density of small arms fire are
reduced, and it takes longer to reorganize the convoy after the
attack.

FIRE SUPPORT
You must coordinate with the artillery support coordination center to
get a priority for artillery support.
You must furnish information
to this center on the convoy's start and release points, time
schedule, checkpoints, and size. You must also exchange call signs,
frequencies, and other signal operating instructions.
You may use
the information received from the rear area security officer or
obtained by route reconnaissance about critical areas of enemy
activity to plan additional fires along the route. You must provide
an overlay for the convoy commander's map, showing the reference
points and concentrations planned by the artillery.
