convoy is ambushed at halt locations.
PART B - COORDINATE MATTERS PERTAINING TO VEHICLE SECURITY
You may use escort and security elements to assist a convoy. These
elements can help direct the convoy and protect it from interference.
The provost marshal provides convoy escort and security elements.
They must be attached to or placed in direct support of the convoy.
They may also be provided on a mission basis.
You must plan and
coordinate all matters pertaining to vehicle security.
This could
include--
noise and light discipline.
front, flank, and rear security.
security during halts.
vehicle maintenance and recovery.
NOISE AND LIGHT DISCIPLINE
You must establish noise and light discipline during a motor
transport movement.
This discipline reduces the possibility of
disclosing the movement's location, particularly at night.
