inspectors
condemn
wheels
and
remove them from service when they
detect
chipped
places
on
the
outside edge of the rim; however, a
small amount of chipping does not
impair their serviceability.
The
wheel should not be condemned until
the rim is broken off a distance of
3 3/4 inches from the flange when
the break slopes inwardly.

shown have reached the condemnable
limit.
